This program offers unrestricted funding to initiatives that maintain excellence across the university. With the President's approval, it can address immediate critical needs. Specifically, the program supports educational programs (competitions, workshops, awards), research and innovation endeavors (visits, incentives), and campus development projects that create facilities conducive to learning, research, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.

The program allows KFUPM students to study abroad for a semester at a partner university, earning credits towards their KFUPM degree. Since 2008, over 1100 students have participated in the Study Abroad Program (SAP) at prestigious universities in the U.S.A. and South Korea. The SAP fosters cultural exchange, global citizenship, and exposure to diverse educational environments.
